Heck yes, I'm doing the Summer 2008 HaikuWriMo, organized by the inestimable *MSJames! I'll be writing at least one haiku for each day of the month.
1: The Crepe Myrtle is a summer-flowering tree that is very common in Texas. Perhaps 2 years ago, I noticed that I feel a gentle mist every time I walk under one. My dad and I had a mini-investigation, and we found bugs sucking the sap from the branches...
2: I'm sure all of us know what this is like.
My Haiku-fu has gotten a bit rusty since last October. ^^ ; Therefore, I'd appreciate Advance Critique for all my Haiku submissions. You guys were a big help last year... I'll need that help again! ^////^

day 1 is precious. getting under a tree after a rain is a refreshing experience. especially when the wind blows and the branches choose to shower their blessing upon you.
