Marquis of Vaudeville - Vocals

I am VERY excited to announce that I am designing costumes for a local band named Marquis of Vaudeville. [link] This band has a strong body of jazzy, dream-rock songs, a great stage presence, and both individual and ensemble musical mastery.

And they have an AMAZING stage look.

Riding the wave of steampunk and turn-of-the-century glamour in current geek/pop-culture, they have adopted an English Gentleman meets Working Man look, that I have volunteered to supplement. The typed notes are both for the band's use, as well as a peek into how I design.

This is Toby, the vocalist. I had the easiest time designing for him, but the hardest time coloring the darn thing. Jacquard Damask is *complicated*, and I'm not very patient with details in drawing. -_-; Either way, the sample is from Fabric.com [link] , but I think I'd like to use something a little less busy for this jacket. He already has the top hat, and he makes some lovely feather/jewelry creations that I figure he could use in his stage look.
